Frequently Asked Questions

verified +347 experts reviewed it as the best choice in 2026
Q1 Can I control the heat when I'm away from home?
Yes. Connect the thermostat to your WiFi and use the Tuya / Smart Life app to change the temperature and schedule from your phone, wherever you are.
Q2 Does it work with Alexa and Google Home?
Yes, it works with Amazon Alexa and Google Home through the Tuya / Smart Life app, so you can add your floor heat to your voice routines.
Q3 Will I lose my schedule if the power goes out?
No. The thermostat has memory that is retained after a power loss, so your 5+2 weekly schedule is still there when the power comes back.
Q4 Is the floor sensor included?
Yes. A 3 m (9.8 ft) NTC floor sensor comes with the thermostat, so you can start with what's in the box.
Q5 Can I choose my own floor temperature?
Yes. You set the target anywhere from 5 to 90 °C (41 to 194 °F), and the thermostat switches your heating on and off to hold it.
Q6 What do I need to install it?
It hard-wires to screw terminals and mounts recessed in the wall, for indoor dry use. Check the 16 A max load against your heating mat, and call an electrician if you're unsure.
