Bought these for my dad on his 78th birthday. He has moderate hearing loss but refuses hearing aids — used to crank the TV to 70 and still ask my mom what they said every five minutes. Setup took my mom under two minutes, no Wi-Fi, no app. He has used them every Sunday for football for three months. Best gift I have given him.

Charge-and-Store Base

The base does double duty — wireless transmitter and charging dock. Drop the headphones on top when you are done, and they recharge automatically. 15 minutes on the dock is enough for 3 hours of listening. Like setting your cordless phone back on the cradle.

I am a PS5 player and picky about audio. The 25 ms latency on the 2.4 GHz mode is the lowest I have measured on a wireless TV headphone — lip-sync stays tight, footsteps in shooters are spatially clean. The 40 mm drivers keep up with bass-heavy game scores. Three months in, no dropouts, no battery degradation.

After my audiologist appointment last year, the TV volume war with my husband became constant. I tried two other wireless headphones, both had lag. SonaVox is on month four with voice mode pinned ON for news and dramas. I sit at my level, he keeps the speaker at his. The dual-band auto-switch handles my router-heavy living room without missing a beat.

I wear behind-the-ear hearing aids on my left side and have given up on most over-ear headphones — they crush the receiver. SonaVox is the first I have worn comfortably over them. The ear cup is deep enough to clear the hearing-aid microphone without pressing on it. Two-hour movies with my grandkids, no pressure, no headache.

I was about to spend $400 on a brand-name set when I saw SonaVox at half the price with the same dual-band tech and a longer range. Three months in, it does what they do — for $189. The included charging base means I never look for a cable. The 60-day return policy is what got me to click.

Six months daily use and the battery still holds 18 hours plus per charge. The cushions show no flattening, the base has not failed once. The headband swivels feel as tight as day one. I expected a 12-month rebuy and now I think I will get three years out of these.

Up to 20 hours of continuous listening on a full charge. A 15-minute drop on the base gives you about 3 hours back — enough for the evening news plus a movie. Drop them on the base when you are done and they are ready for tomorrow.

Yes for any TV made since 2000. The base has three audio inputs — optical (the small square port labeled Digital Audio Out), RCA (the red and white round jacks), and 3.5 mm AUX (the headphone jack). Your TV almost certainly has at least one. If you are unsure, look at the back of the TV for any port labeled Audio Out. One of our three cables will fit.

No. The 2.4 GHz wireless mode runs under 25 milliseconds of audio delay — well below the 40 ms threshold where lip-sync becomes noticeable. Bluetooth-only headphones typically run 100-200 ms, which is why dialogue can look out of sync. SonaVox stays tight.

Yes, two ways. Most behind-the-ear and receiver-in-canal hearing-aid wearers wear SonaVox directly over their hearing aids — the ear cup is deep enough to clear the receiver without crushing it. Some users prefer to remove their hearing aids and let the headphone drivers handle the amplification on their own — this works best with mild-to-moderate hearing loss and the voice-clarifying mode ON. SonaVox does not pair directly with MFi hearing aids via Bluetooth.

Most TVs made since 2000 have at least one of the three audio outputs SonaVox uses. If your TV has ONLY HDMI ARC, you have two options: (1) connect the optical cable to your soundbar's optical-out instead of the TV; or (2) use an inexpensive HDMI-ARC-to-optical adapter. We recommend option 1 because it preserves the soundbar's processing. SonaVox does not connect via HDMI directly.

Up to 30 feet stable through one interior wall — that covers most living rooms and reaches into an adjacent kitchen or hallway. Up to 100 feet line-of-sight (no walls). The signal does NOT pass through more than one wall reliably; if you walk into a closed bedroom or downstairs, audio will drop. For typical TV-watching geometry — recliner to base, recliner to nearby kitchen — you will not notice an interruption.

None. Plug-and-play. No app, no Wi-Fi, no Bluetooth pairing. Connect the base to your TV with one of the three included cables, drop the headphones on the base for a moment to pair, lift them off, and you are listening. Setup is under 90 seconds for a first-time user.

We offer a 60-day return window with no restocking fee. Many of our customers are adult children buying for an aging parent who is reluctant to try new tech — if Dad does not take to SonaVox, return it within 60 days for a full refund. Keep the box and original cables for the return. Most users who keep them past two weeks become permanent users.
