What our 17,000+ Customers say

Based On Real and Honest Experiences

My cat was getting a little lazy and putting on weight, but since we brought home PounceRay, she's constantly on the move! The automatic timer keeps her active and entertained even while I'm at work all day.

Amanda R.Verified Buyer

After going through cheap automatic toys that broke within weeks, PounceRay is still going strong months later. The ABS body has handled every full-speed pounce without a crack, and I've finally stopped replacing toys every month.

Marcus T.Verified Buyer

I was skeptical after trying mediocre laser toys that got boring fast, but PounceRay is different. The unpredictable movement actually holds my cat's attention every time it runs, way better than the old toys that just moved in the same circle over and over.

Frequently Asked Questions

verified +347 experts reviewed it as the best choice in 2026
Q1 Is the laser safe for my cat's eyes?
Yes. PounceRay uses a pet-safe infrared LED that's bright enough to catch your cat's attention but gentle enough that it won't strain or harm their eyes, even with regular play.
Q2 Does it shut off automatically?
Yes. Gear I stops after 10 minutes, Gear II runs an automatic 12-hour cycle with 10 minutes of play every 2 hours, and Manual mode powers down after 20 minutes.
Q3 Can I run it on batteries?
Absolutely. PounceRay offers dual power flexibility, so you can plug it in for continuous use or add 4 AA batteries (not included) for portable play anywhere.
Q4 Is it loud enough to bother my cat or disturb me while working?
Not at all. PounceRay runs on a whisper-quiet motor, so it won't interrupt your work calls, and your cat's attention stays on the laser instead of any mechanical noise.
Q5 Can I control it manually to play with my cat?
Yes! Just switch to Manual mode and hold the device yourself to guide the laser and enjoy some hands-on bonding time together.
Q6 Will my cat actually play with this, or just watch it?
Most cats respond right away to the unpredictable movement, since it mimics real prey. If yours is more cautious, switch to Manual mode and guide the laser slowly at first to build their interest.
Q7 Is it safe to use when I'm not home?
Yes. Gear II cycles automatically in short timed sessions throughout the day, then shuts off between rounds. Since it's light-based with no string or lure, there's nothing for your cat to get tangled in while you're out.
Q8 What's the difference between this and a cheap automatic cat toy?
Most budget toys move in the same fixed pattern until your cat tunes out, and many stop working within weeks. PounceRay darts unpredictably to keep the chase interesting, and the durable ABS build is made to handle daily use.
