I was surprised how few bugs showed up near my AquaCistern all season. It still looks almost new, and breaking it down to fold flat for winter took only a few minutes.

Why AquaCistern Beats a Rigid Barrel
shield
Weatherproof PVC Mesh
Heavy-duty mesh resists punctures, UV rays, and harsh weather without cracking or peeling. It keeps collecting rain season after season.

Fold-Flat Portability
Collapses completely flat for simple transport and storage in tight spaces. Perfect for garages, sheds, or tucking away the moment the rain stops.

Mesh Cover Blocks Bugs and Debris
A fine mesh top keeps leaves, bugs, and debris out of your water while it collects. Enjoy cleaner rainwater without constantly skimming the surface.

UV-Shielded Weather Coating
A protective outer coating shields the fabric from fading and sun damage outdoors. Storing it flat during the off-season helps it last longer.
What our 17,000+ Customers say
Based On Real and Honest Experiences
Setting up my 52-gallon AquaCistern took less time than I expected, and now it lives folded flat in the garage until I need it. Peace of mind without giving up storage space.
Derek H.Verified Buyer
I doubted a collapsible barrel could handle full sun all summer, but my AquaCistern hasn't cracked or faded yet. It's held up through every storm so far without a single leak.

Q1 How do I set up my AquaCistern rain barrel?
Setup takes just minutes. Unfold AquaCistern on level ground beneath your downspout or gutter, then let rainwater start filling right away. No assembly required.
Q2 Can I move the barrel once it's set up?
Once it's empty, AquaCistern folds flat and carries easily to wherever you need it next. While full, it's best left in place, since a filled barrel is naturally heavier to reposition.
Q3 What colors and sizes does AquaCistern come in?
AquaCistern is available in classic Green or Black, with capacities of 26, 52, or 132 gallons, so you can pick the perfect fit for your space and water needs.
Q4 Will AquaCistern attract mosquitoes or bugs?
AquaCistern's mesh cover is designed to keep leaves, debris, and flying insects out while the barrel collects rainwater. For extra peace of mind, empty and rinse it every few weeks during the height of the season.
Q5 Can I leave AquaCistern outside in freezing weather?
For best results, drain it and fold AquaCistern flat before temperatures drop. Storing it collapsed in a garage or shed over winter helps protect the fabric from freeze damage until the rain comes back.
Q6 How is AquaCistern different from a rigid rain barrel?
A rigid barrel sits in your yard year-round, rain or shine, whether you're using it or not. AquaCistern collapses flat the moment you're done collecting, so you get the same water storage without a permanent plastic fixture taking up space.
Q7 How long will my AquaCistern last?
AquaCistern is built with UV-shielded, puncture-resistant material made for repeated outdoor use season after season. Folding it flat and storing it away when it's not in use is the best way to help it go the distance.
Q8 Does AquaCistern leak at the seams or spigot?
AquaCistern is made from heavy-duty, puncture-resistant fabric built to handle regular fill-and-drain cycles. Setting it on level ground and avoiding overfilling helps keep everything performing the way it should.
