Set your key there once, since the mapping is saved in the pedal. Then plug it into your Mac or Linux machine and use it. A borrowed Windows PC works for setup.

Will it work as a push-to-talk pedal in Discord?
Yes, if your app accepts a keypress. Assign the pedal the same key you use for push-to-talk. You can choose a single or continuous trigger, so you can hold it down while you talk.

Does it slide around on my floor?
Several anti-slip pads sit under the base and the top is grooved. It's a light plastic pedal, though, so very smooth floors may let it creep.
